"Think you two can handle things?" Razz questions to two pokemon in front of him, both giving him a salute as they found themselves on Mt. Pyre. According to his dispatcher some of the pokemon here were being routy, so to see if he couldn't help them exert a little energy. Which he was fine with. It allowed his Kubfu to get some training in. The litwick being backup seeing how fighting pokemon weren't really the strongest in this route. [break][break]

"Alright then lets go," meanwhile Salem's focus seems to be else where as he sits in the hood of his trainer's jacket.

Killian tensed at the familiar mountainside. Too many painful memories haunted this place. The fact Razz is here feels like throwing salt on an open wound. Not that he knew.

Hell, the ranger likely had no idea Killian was stalking him. Watching, waiting for a moment to strike and quench a thirst for blood that went unsatiated during Sootopolis.

"Now's not the time."

Whispers a crisp, clear voice courtesy of FERNANDO SILPH into his mind. But he stalks anyway with Espeon on his shoulder, Zoroark casting them both an illusionary cloak.

"Is there something?" Razz questions Salem trying to be unsuspecting. Having been raised in Rocket there had been certain skills he had picked up. Not to mention his paranoia raised to the 11th degree from his time there, and his time out. Far too often he's been a target to something, and while he isn't sure the feeling of eyes being on him remained. Salem says something back before his Kubfu points at some pokemon. [break][break]

"They don't look to be picking a fight now do they?" he questions the kubfu who sulks. "Lets try a test to see if you two can keep up?" Razz suggest to his pokemon in a playful manner. Before the Ranger takes off, having been trained to easily traverse multiple terrains going through some of the wooden areas of the mountain was simple. Then a cliff comes that had quite the steep slope. One where normal people would easily hurt themselves. But Razz had trust in Salem, the psychic cat easily slowing his fall as if he just jumped a fence rather than a wall. [break][break]

The Ranger looking up as both Kubfu and Litwick were in some surprise their trainer even did it. Kubfu too new, and Alabastar usually out of his pokeball for simple things. But the fighting bear was determined, using DETECT to help them easily find a safe way down from the sides while carrying Litwick. Meanwhile Razz also looking to feel if the sensation of eyes on him were still there.

Killian followed until an Inkay distracted him. Passing through Zoroark's illusion without a care in the world. The admin frowned. It didn't seem like Razz noticed. The Ranger seemed focused on his trek up the cliffside.

Good.

Killian took advantage of the situation. He nodded for Zoroark to attack, a Night Slash tearing into the Inkay's flesh. Before it could let out a pained cry, Killian tossed a Poke Ball, and it sucked the creature inside.

Then he waited. Not on the captured success or failure, but to see if Razz noticed or not.

While Razz provided the chance to seem perfectly distracted, Salem did his job as his proper seeing eye cat. Easily taking notice of the Night Slash phasing through part of the illusion that was caught up. As well as the light of a disappearing Inkay that was there a second ago. And while being in the same area as another to capture a pokemon was nothing out of the ordinary. Being behind an illusion was. [break][break]

And of course he would tell his trainer as both is pokemon catch up, "Good work," he praises before looking toward where Salem pointed where he saw it. "Do you intend to keep yourself hidden?" Razz calls out rather than allowing them to continue. Least his paranoia was just.

Shit, Razz had noticed.

The admin sighed. There was always the option to turn and walk away, but that sounded less entertaining. Maybe he could spin this into an opportunity.

A wave of Killian's arm ordered Mirage to dismiss the illusion. In a shimmer of light, Killian revealed himself to the Ranger. Awkwardly, he rubbed at the back of his neck. "Hehe, sorry about that."

"Wasn't trying to startle you."

While Killian talked, Zoroark dispatched another - this time an Elgyem. Night Slash sliced across the alien's chest, and it collapsed onto the ground. Shockingly, Mirage himself was the one to toss the Poke Ball after grabbing it from Killian's waste.

From the illusion and the bushes comes a man he's never seen before. Least not from his recollection. So his paranoia couldn't help but grow, why follow him? "Yeah following someone who doesn't know you isn't a good way to start," he comments as he crosses his arms as his suspicious weren't satisfied for now. [break][break]

"So who are you exactly?" [break][break]

As Razz confronts the stranger both Alabaster and Cedar find themselves confronting a different problem. A Jynx who doesn't seem to like that people were on her turf. Seeming about to use a POWDERED SNOW on the distracted Ranger before Cedar strikes with IRON HEAD. In order to help Alabaster assist with a SHADOW BALL, which seems to annoy Cedar more than have them be grateful for it. Borrowing a pokeball from their trainer they do attempt to capture the Jynx. [break][break]

"Uh, yeah - I'm not following you." Killian's quick to correct, "I'm hunting a rare Pokemon and didn't want to be spotted. You just happened to be going in the same direction as me." It's believable enough, he reckoned. Certain Pokemon were quite skittish and fled at the sight of a trainer.

Not that he needed to tell a Ranger that.

"I'm Ian." it crumpled his inside, but Killian smiled.

Much like the Elgyem before it, Exeggcute is swiftly dispatched by Zoroark. Shadows rise and close around the collection of eggs, creating a dome that their Extrasensory attack fails to penetrate. Zoroark's Night Daze comes crashing down atop them with a cackle. Another Poke Ball is taken and thrown from Killian's belt shortly after.

"Right and just so happened to follow from the road to here?" Razz comments sarcastically, but it's not like he has his truth terrain active at the moment so he couldn't be sure. Though it didn't take a master of intell to tell Razz had doubts. For now he ignores the pokemon around them as the other introduces himself. [Break][break]

"Razz Kingsman," he'll play nice for now, maybe use Alabaster soon if he feels he still can't trust.

"Well, yeah. Didn't I just say you were going in the same direction as me? Honestly," Killian shrugged his shoulders and sighed, "if I meant you harm, I'd have done something before you noticed me." The temptation to do so was strong at the time.

"Razz, gotcha - I've got it memorized." an awkward chuckle fluttered free from Killian's lungs. His hand slipped into his pocket as he laughed, disturbing the rest of the Espeon on his shoulder. She mewed and lifted an eyelid to shoot him a glare but went back to her nap afterward.

"But say, now that I'm out in the open and everything, mind helping me look for that Pokemon?" stupid, Killian should be heading in the opposite direction right now. But the need to know what Razz was up to kept him rooted in place.

"It's called Hatterene. Heard of it? They give off powerful headaches to stop people from getting close."
